Summary:
This leaflet provides information about the Vancouver Women's Health Collective women's self-help clinic, its services, its beliefs, and its politics. The leaflet explains that the women who operate the clinic are not medical professionals, but women who have learned about their bodies because of a perceived lack of care from the traditional medical system. Their belief in self-help grew out of their research, discussion and practice, and they offer cervical exams, breast exams; counselling, medication prescribed by an on-site doctor, a clinic lab and information resources.
