Report of a follow-up inquiry after Taking Care of Each Other: health promotion in community based AIDS work. Eight leading AIDS workers were interviewed in-depth on the impact and effects of the social environment on HIV/AIDS prevention. The need for a system of education for community AIDS workers and a consensus on theory and practice is highlighted.
