Summary:
This is a newsletter of the Anti-Poverty Coalition (Apo) in Victoria, BC. Addressed in this issue are: the Woodwards squat, which provides information of its demands, evictions and arrests, and ways to support its fight for social housing; direct action that protested changes to welfare policy and disrupted Murray Coell (Minister of Human Resources) speech at the provincial Liberal's AGM; victories in Apo's advocacy with single mothers seeking welfare; and a story about Donna Ambers' protest against the illegal abduction of her granddaughter by the Ministry of Children and Family Development. It announces weekly panhandling for poor families. It also provides Apo's mission statement.
