Fact Sheet - British Columbians are dying at unprecedented rates from completely preventable diseases and from drug overdose deaths

Advocacy leaflet by Vancouver Area Network of Drug Users (VANDU) protesting the unnecessary deaths and diseases faced by drug users in BC and demanding harm reduction programs to address the problems. The leaflet provides basic facts about the high health care costs that result from not instituting harm reduction programs. VANDU recommends that initiation of safe injection rooms; legal heroin prescription; and adequate, accessible drug treatment to address disease epidemics and drug overdose deaths.
