Summary:
Position paper about the challenges and needs of senior citizens who are drug addicts in Vancouver. There are many services available for seniors in the city, but seniors with addictions face discrimination and other barriers. Many seniors live in SROs and do not access services. There is a need for communal style housing for addicted seniors in order to ensure they are provided with stability, nutrition, companionship, and better health care.
