Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network
Summary:
The Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network is an organization engaged in education, legal and ethical analyses and policy development in the area of HIV/AIDS, in Canada and internationally. This bilingual 2002/2003 Annual Report provides a short history of the organization; messages from the president and executive director; and a summary of activities and the budget for that fiscal year. Longer descriptions are provided for particular activities that the organization engaged in, including: successful advocacy against HIV testing of immigrants to Canada; research and consultations about complementary/alternative health care for people with HIV/AIDS; work in the area of global access to HIV care, support and treatment; the launching of the network's International Program; collaboration with the Canadian Aboriginal AIDS Network (CAAN) to produce a series of reports; and initiation of capacity building projects for the legal profession and for local and regional HIV organizations.
