Summary:
The Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network is an organization engaged in education, legal and ethical analyses and policy development in the area of HIV/AIDS, in Canada and internationally. This 2002/2003 Annual Report provides a short history of the organization; messages from the president and executive director; and a summary of activities and of the budget for that fiscal year. Longer descriptions are provided for particular activities that the organization engaged in, including: harm reduction in prisons; the annual Awards for Action on HIV/AIDS and Human Rights; the implementation of a 3-year project on HIV/AIDS stigma and discrimination; international work in the area of HIV vaccine research and access; the launching of an awareness raising project on the links between health and human rights; collaborations with HIV/AIDS organizations in Kenya and Zambia; collaborative work in the global access to HIV treatment campaign; and community-capacity building and communications activities.
