Identified Community Issues - Resource Centre

Documentation of issues identified at consultation meetings between Health Canada, Vancouver/Richmond Health Board, and community groups and members, on the topic of a new resource centre for drug users to be built in the Downtown Eastside. The community expressed concerns about the consultation process itself; the proposed location of the centre; the need for other harm reduction services to support the work of the centre; fears about client behaviour around the resource centre; policing and public safety issues; hours of operation; youth issues; and management of the resource centre.
