Summary:
May 2005 newsletter of No One is Illegal - Vancouver, a grassroots anti-colonial immigrant and refugee rights movement and organization. In this issue, articles focus on the campaign for regularization (where non-status immigrants already working in Canada can apply for legal status); the on-going racist scapegoating and criminalization of migrants in Canada; the exploitation of foreign domestic workers in Canada; sex worker trafficking; the post 9-11 Safe Third Country Agreement which prevents refugees from Canada from landing first in the U.S.; and the lack of migrant labour standards in British Columbia. A list of contacts for immigrant organizations and social justice groups in Vancouver is also provided.
