Making Care Visible: Antiretroviral Therapy and the Health Work of People Living with HIV/AIDS

A research report about the health work that people living with HIV/AIDS do (the study is a community-based institutional ethnography). The report addresses four main areas: how people living with HIV/AIDS deal with physicians; how they make treatment decisions; how they accomplish compliance; and how they access and interpret treatment information. The document is intended to provide information to people who work in community-based AIDS service organizations as well as health professionals who work with HIV positive patients.
