It includes information regarding drug treatments and surgical treatments commonly prescribed to women for menstrual problems, with some gender-based analysis of the overuse of hysterectomy as a means to cure women's menstrual problems. There is a chapter on starting as self-help group, as well as community resources for women listed in BC, Alberta, and the Yukon and suggested books and information booklets.
