Breast Cancer Detection

A pamphlet describing different kinds of screening for the detection of breast cancer, including breast self-exam, physical exams, mammography, needle and surgical biopsies, etc. The pamphlet, prepared by the Vancouver Women's Health Collective (VWHC), also engages in gender-based analysis of the politics of breast cancer detection technology, the perceived expertise of doctors in determining breast health, the risks of mammography and the associated numbers of unnecessary surgeries associated with mammography screenings.
