Summary:
This interim progress report for the Vancouver/Richmond Health Board outlines the work done to July 31, 1998 by the Community Health Advocate Project of the Vancouver Women's Health Collective (VWHC). The report outlines the role of the community health advocates, the objectives of the project and the progress made towards the accomplishments of those goals, including the hiring of a part-time Community Health Advocate trainer/coordinator, and the development of a Community Health Advocate training manual. The report also includes plans to involve 'affected populations' in the development of the project, and steps taken to strengthen existing partnerships with community organizations for the purpose of identifying and supporting Community Health Advocates.
