The report presents the workshop content, the research plan, and an initial data set collected by participants a the Community Based Research Capacity Building Workshop for men who have sex with men (MSM) in Kelowna. The report includes: opening remarks by the facilitator outlining goals and themes of community based research; the agenda for the workshop; the social contract for the group; results from the parking lot and vision exercises; info about ethics; the process for developing the research design; interview role play training; appendices with the transcript of the evening discussion session, cycles of research diagram, research template, informed consent form, and interview questions and transcript.
