Ontario Aboriginal HIV/AIDS Strategy

The Ontario HIV+/AIDS strategy recognized the distinct concerns and needs of Aboriginal people in Ontario. The strategy framework outlines the strategic initiatives of 1) programs and services, 2) delivery system and 3) networking and coordination. The strategy emphasizes the reality of many Aboriginal people living with AIDS requires the immediate development of a comprehensive plan for an effective and accessible continuum of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual care, support and education for Aboriginal individuals, families an communities living with and/or affected by HIV/AIDS.
