Summary:
This report is in response to the BC Ministry of Health's launch of a "New Directions" campaign to restructure health service management and delivery through "decentralization". Decentralization refers to the attempt to spread out responsibility for health care from the Ministry of Health to Regional Health Boards or Authorities. In the face of potential cutbacks to health services, this report aims to mobilize the disability community to participate in the "New Directions" process. Includes background on health reform.
