These are a collection of thoughts on the Woodwards Vision workshops that reflect on inequality and the situation of First Nations in the Downtown Eastside and more generally in BC. It discusses the need for autonomy of the community, particularly in the face of exploitation and imperialism, which leads many First Nations people to the Downtown Eastside. It also states the need for health related components, which includes access to safe water, places to rest, employment and a healing centre.
