Single Women's Focus Group

This provides responses from a focus group of single women on issues of housing and homelessness. It reports on support services like drop-ins, outreach workers, addiction treatment, mental health services, and prevention; barriers to income like illness, appearance, and connections; general discussion of needed services, support, and barriers; and priorities for government funding like nutrition and community kitchens. Themes include the need for peer support, community housing, 24 hour services and shelters, more community support staff, and places to shower, as well as barriers such as sexism and racism, burnt out workers, and waitlists for shelters, treatment, and housing. The first three questions and responses are missing from this document.
