This is a newsletter of the Anti-Poverty Committee, an anti-capitalist and anti-oppression organization fighting for the rights of poor and working people in Vancouver, BC. This issue includes the articles: ""Police board refuses to hear community demands"" (on attempts to speak to police about use of violence against the poor and women, and the need for harm reduction), ""Welfare on Demand: The Battle against the Three Week Wait"" (on restrictive welfare policy changes), ""The Liberal's Attack on Sexual Assault Centres"" (on cuts to sexual assault centres and community-based victim assistance programs), ""Community Meeting on Policing Poverty"" (on demands that address police violence against poor), ""General Strike for the Rights of All Poor and Working People"" (on the need of solidarity between unionists and the poor to fight against the BC Liberals), ""Call from QUAK to bar the Liberal's from Pride"" (on Queers United Against Kapitalism's call to not allow MLA Mayencourt and the Liberals in the Pride parade), and ""Training Wage: Breaking the Law"" (on the illegal training wage).
