Summary:
This is a newsletter from the Woodwards Squat. This issue contains a letter to the new COPE city council and mayor that addresses the injunction, the sale of Woodwards, resettlement of the squatters, the housing crisis, and remedies for the actions of the past city council, as well warns of increased problems in the neighbourhood if the squat were to be closed. The issue also has analysis of the recent municipal election and discusses the relationship between municipal politics and mass movements, along with their various strategies. There are two quotes by COPE councillors regarding housing and the Demands of the Coalition of Woodward Squatters and Supporters (see W.O.O.D.S.Q.U.A.T. Newsletter #28) are listed.
