Safe Streets Demonstration

This is a description of a demonstration at the Annual General Meeting of the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association (DVBIA) by the Anti-Poverty Committee, End Legislated Poverty, No One is Illegal, Queers Against Capitalism, and others. It protested the DVBIA's efforts to transplant 'panhandlers' with 'beggars', as well as the proposed Safe Streets Act, which would further criminalize poverty.
