Fighting Back in the DTES

This is a newsletter written by the Anti-Poverty Committee and the Housing Action Committee about issues and actions taken in the Downtown Eastside (DTES) against increased policing and for a safe injection site. It criticizes the COPE city council, stating that they broken election promises in their approach to dealing with the poor. It also discusses the struggles being fought in the DTES community to provide for itself and the use of the direct action of disrupting the work of those in power.
