A report to the BC Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) group by Caryn Duncan, on the Feminist Alliance for International Action (FAFIA) Symposium and AGM. The report describes the work of the FAFIA symposium agenda, including discussions about the work of CEDAW, the work needed to be done in order to bring Canada closer to compliance with the CEDAW recommendations. The report also describes the planned activities of FAFIA for the 2003/2004.

A report to the BC Health Coalition and the Vancouver Women's Health Collective, from Caryn Duncan's experience at the CEDAW-FAFIA meeting held in Ottawa, 2003. The report describes the meeting, the organizations and representatives in attendance, and the work being done by these groups relating to government cuts to women's programming. The report also describes the plans for the CEDAW-FAFIA members to implement the recommendations made by the UN CEDAW report. Attached is a letter Jean Augustine, Minister responsible for the Status of Women, written by Shelagh Day for the Interim Steering Committee of FAFIA and the FAFIA Ad Hoc Working Group on CEDAW Follow -Up, as well as a letter to the BC CEDAW group from Minister Colin Hansen.

A media release for the International Women's Day celebrations being held in Vancouver, March 2005. The event includes a march, rally and forum, and its theme is "United Today- For Justice Tomorrow!" The International Women's Day Organizing Committee has organized events at the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre, including speakers and entertainment on Friday March 4. March 5 includes a pancake breakfast, march, rally and women's forum with local activists and speakers at the Vancouver Public Library.
