Summary:
Most people who appeal to tribunal win; this costs Ministry too much. They say the goal is to save money; as many as one third of these tribunal decisions may have been made in "error of law." Bad news for people on welfare, Ministry can overturn tribunal's "interpretation" of the law. St. James administers money to people who are on welfare and they get a fee by welfare; people are administered to St. James if they are violent or abusive in the welfare office. Retreat in mid June at Bowen Island. Margareth Tolso from AIDS Vancouver is here every Monday afternoon to give women information about how to protect ourselves from getting HIV/AIDS.
