The Women's Resource Kit was produced by the Women's Health Education Project of Newfoundland and Labrador, a project that began with a provincial survey of women in Newfoundland identifying women's health problems, followed by a consultation with women who had carried out the survey across the province. Workshops were developed out of the consultations, based on women's identified health needs, such as mental health, reproductive health, and substance abuse. The document reproduces three of the workshop guidelines ("Women and stress," "Mothers and Teenagers," and "Reproductive Health"). The document also includes techniques for workshop facilitation (such as role play and human sculpturing), games and warm-ups for workshops, and further resources.
