Vancouver Women’s Health Collective

A pamphlet produced by the Vancouver Women's Health Collective (VWHC), outlining their services, their purpose, and their resources, including their health practitioner directory, workshops, resource library, information centre, and advocacy work. The pamphlet also includes the VWHC's mission statement and contact information.

A media release put out by the Vancouver Women's Health Collective announcing their intended political action in protest of funding cuts to women's health by the BC Ministry of Health in 1992. The demonstration, planned to take place during Elizabeth Cull's address at the Ministers Forum on Health Reform, would call attention to the lack of funding support from the government despite the praise the VWHC received from Minister Cull. The media release demands that women's health issues be acknowledged beyond reproductive technologies and birth control.

As well, the annual report describes the year in review, with details about the work done by the VWHC, including the work done by volunteers at the information centre, the community health advocate project, workshops. and the VWHC newsletter.

Many of the publications were produced by the VWHC, and include topics such as abortion, fertility awareness and birth control, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), breast health, menopause, vaginal health, and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).
